Maple Court Veterans and Staff Participate in the Durham, NC Stand Down
Maple Court Veterans Transitional Housing Program staff and residents recently volunteered their services at the Durham Stand Down. Residents were trained to provide support to the day’s activities. Veterans from the area came to learn of the variety of resources available to serve homeless veterans. The number of women veterans attending a Durham Stand Down event was unprecedented. Community organizations came together to provide meals, free items and resource information to homeless veterans.
